Staff presented the 2025 District Tax Levy materials (L‑4029) and said the district’s 2025 taxable value is $3,300,519,820, an increase from the prior year’s $3,145,294,150. Using the district taxable value, staff explained millage entries and reported the district’s total millage levy to homeowners will be 18.0 mills, which is unchanged from fiscal year 2024–25. Staff said the millage certification will return to the Board for approval at the June 12, 2025 Regular Board meeting.
The staff materials reviewed form L‑4029 and cited the relevant Michigan statutory authorities for millage requests and Headlee/Truth‑in‑Taxation calculations (MCL sections referenced in the packet). The materials included a millage table showing voted operating and sinking fund millages and contact information for Assistant Superintendent Rebecca Scicluna for follow up.
