Novi board certifies 18.0‑mill levy, adopts final and preliminary budgets

Board materials presented the taxable value as an increase from $3,145,294,150 the prior year. The Finance Committee of the Whole reviewed the L‑4029 tax levy form during a public hearing on June 10; the board adopted the levy tonight to prepare for July 1 tax bill certification.
Separately, the board adopted a final amendment to the 2024‑2025 budget after a June 10 public hearing and adopted the 2025‑2026 Preliminary Budget Resolution. The district noted the preliminary budget will be available for public inspection at the Educational Services Building beginning June 13, 2025, and that the state requirement to adopt a budget by June 30 was being met.
