The city council unanimously approved a preliminary plat and amended site plan for Lucas Crossing, formerly Lucas Town Center, on roughly 41.9954 acres at the northwest corner of Parker Road and Country Club Road. Development services director Joe Hilburn told council that engineering, drainage and traffic reviews had been completed, that two independent reviewers examined the drainage study, and that staff recommended approval following Planning & Zoning's unanimous recommendation on Aug. 14, 2025.
Hilburn summarized the project as eight buildings totaling 110,214 square feet with 12 pad sites and explained the city is finishing a lift station to provide sewer to the project. Council members asked clarifying questions about lot numbering and the amending of Lots 14 and 15; after discussion a motion to approve the preliminary plat and amended site plan passed unanimously.
