The Dunkirk Common Council adopted a series of prefiled resolutions during its April 21 meeting, approving contracts and project steps across public safety, public works and economic activities.
Resolution 30-4-2026 authorized a contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture Wildlife Services for a wildlife damage management project focused on seagull control; council members noted prior years’ implementation and projected no tax cost due to business contributions. The council also adopted Resolution 35-2026, authorizing an EMS education and training contract with Chautauqua County EMS.
The council approved Resolution 36-2026 accepting environmental review steps for improving West 7th Street from Brigham Road to the easterly line of Press Holdings, LLC, and Resolution 37-2026 authorizing the assumption of the Spike Dailies lease by Buster’s Pub and Grub LLC. Resolution 38-2026 established a new dog-control services agreement, and Resolution 39-2026 authorized design and engineering work to pursue dredging permits for Chadwick Bay Marina.
Clerk roll calls recorded unanimous 'Aye' votes for each resolution and the clerk announced each resolution as adopted. No separate dissent or recorded 'no' votes appear in the meeting record.
