The Saginaw Township Board of Education voted unanimously June 9 to approve three certificated staff appointments for the 2025–2026 school year. The motion to employ Ashley Helmer as an administrator at White Pine Middle School was offered by David Booth and seconded by Marianne Bird; the board also approved the hiring of David Trabalka as a teacher at Weiss Elementary (motion by Michele DeShone) and Marcie Winters as an administrator at Heritage High School (motion by David Booth). All approvals were recorded by roll call as "Yes: all; No: none."
Each appointment in the minutes is noted as conditional: "The appointment is conditional until the district administration receives and verifies to its satisfaction all of the required information and qualifications pertaining to" the appointee. The Human Resources Report was presented by Tienna Smith, Director of Human Resources and Labor Relations.
