Superintendent Jamie Kraatz updated the Board on facilities and district operations at the May 19 meeting. Kraatz said the Heritage pool would be worked on during the week and that Sherwood Pool renovations would begin in June with an expected completion around Halloween; updates include a small vestibule and minor locker-room work to make the facility usable. Kraatz also noted a storm uprooted a tree at Hemmeter.
Kraatz told the Board that Human Resources, Curriculum and Communications are working on internal systems and processes; staff will receive communications in the coming weeks. She reminded the Board the last day of school is May 29 and teachers finish May 30, and that a retiree reception will be held May 22 at 2:00 p.m. The district also received a plaque acknowledging its efforts implementing restorative practices.
