The Swisher City Council on Nov. 25 approved Resolution 75-2024, adopting Amendment No. 4 to the HR Green engineering contract for the sanitary sewer and lift station project. Staff explained the county declined to reimburse the city for inspector time from 2019–2020 and the amendment applies a $30,027.58 credit to the sewer contract to offset those disputed engineering fees.
“We're basically taking the total contract amount on the sewer project and dropping it by $30,027.58,” said the staff presenter (S5), describing the city-credit approach and saying the change is intended to make the city whole for fees the county would not cover. Council moved and seconded the resolution and completed a roll call vote to approve it.
The amendment was presented as part of a package of engineering- and construction-related items; staff told the council this credit will appear across related agenda items tied to the same project. No additional public testimony on the amendment was recorded at the meeting. The council did not attach a separate effective date beyond approving the resolution at the Nov. 25 meeting.
