The chair and other members agreed the topic merited further work and suggested adding it as new business at a future meeting. Doctor Johnson offered to consider inviting the pillar chair for pre-K to present either in writing or in person so the committee could better understand program needs and options for county partnership.
Committee members noted space and pay-structure constraints and asked staff to include fiscal implications in any proposed approaches. No formal directive to allocate funds or change policy was issued at this meeting; members instead asked staff to return with options for discussion.
