Board gives first readings to AI, meeting order and public-participation policies and several handbooks

At the July 13 meeting the ROCORI policy committee presented first readings of several policies, including Policy 625 (Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence); Policy 203.2 (Order of Regular Meetings); Policy 203.6 (Consent Agendas); and Policy 206 (Public Participation in School Board Meetings/Complaints and Data Privacy Considerations). No formal action was taken and the items were presented for further review by the committee.
The board also presented first readings of the 2026–2027 ROCORI Child Care, K–12 Student, Employee, Activities and Preschool handbooks. As first readings, these materials were provided for initial review; any changes or formal adoption will be scheduled in subsequent meetings per board procedure.
