Salt Lake City officials told reporters the city tracked 351 bills during the recent Utah legislative session and classified 53 of those as high priority.
"Salt Lake City tracked 351 bills this session with a 126 that were high priority on 53 bills and 73 sales," the mayor said, summarizing the office's tracking effort and thanking the legislative affairs team led by Angela Price. Angela Price, the legislative affairs team lead, described the session as successful and noted many bills were held in rules or passed only in one chamber.
City officials said the administration coordinated with partners including the Wasatch Front Regional Council and the Utah League of Cities and Towns to amend or support measures and that the improved relationships with state leaders — including Governor Cox, President Adams and Speaker Schultz — helped advance city priorities. They emphasized the work continues into implementation, and that tracking focuses both on policy and fiscal impacts that departments will need to address.
