Commissioners briefed on skatepark fundraiser and student mural plans

The fundraiser is scheduled for Nov. 12 at Slippery Pig and will include a silent auction; organizers are seeking non‑skateboard items to broaden family interest.
The commissioner also reported outreach to a Kingston High School art teacher: students are drafting graffiti‑style mural proposals for the skatepark wall, which the committee will review and may support by purchasing paint supplies. "Her kids are very excited about doing some graffiti art for the wall," the commissioner said.
What happens next: committee will continue fundraising, share student mural drafts with commissioners, and report back at a future coalition meeting.
