Board approves routine contracts: jail booking cabinetry, GIS services, airport hangar amendments and liquor-license renewal

At its Feb. 11 meeting, the Board of County Commissioners approved a slate of departmental contracts and administrative items included in the consent/drop box.
The sheriff’s office presented a Corvinus LLC contract to replace flood-damaged booking cabinets in the jail with a not-to-exceed amount of $54,285; commissioners approved the contract and authorized the chair to sign documents, noting insurance (CTSI) may reimburse portions. Thomas Johnson, IT director, asked the board to approve Amendment No. 2 with Cornerstone Geospatial Consulting for continued GIS maintenance at $67,500 per year for fiscal years 2025–2026; that motion passed. Airport staff presented two commercial-amendment agreements allowing commercial activities in Hangar 1 and at Grand River Aviation LLC; both amendments were approved. County clerk Jolene Linke presented a liquor-license renewal for Latico Ranch that the board approved after a recusal and temporary acting-chair appointment.
Each item was approved by voice vote and the board authorized the chair to sign applicable documents.
