The Police Accountability Board of Calvert County opened its Aug. 28 meeting with administrative updates, including the departures of staff members Lanita Thomas and Liz and introduction of a new staff support, Ellen Simpson. Chair (PAB) said the board had a quorum and encouraged members to request agenda items if they wanted portions of the Police Executive Research Forum report discussed at a future meeting.
The chair also reminded members of the online Open Meetings Act training and warned that decisions taken outside a public meeting could risk violating the Act. "I would suggest that we do take that," the chair said, urging members to complete the training. The board scheduled volunteers to help prepare the statutory end-of-year report to the Board of County Commissioners due Dec. 31.
