The Grand County Board of Commissioners approved the week's vouchers, a packet that includes operating and utility costs totaling slightly more than $203,000.
Curtis Lang, finance director, outlined major line items: $67,000 for the district attorney's monthly costs, $20,000 for an electric bill and approximately $16,000 as the county's share of the Tabernash Meadow sewer plant monthly costs. "This week's amount is a little bit over $203,000. We're paying the monthly costs for the district attorney's office for 67,000. Last month's electric bill was 20,000. And we're paying our share of the Tabernash Meadow sewer plant monthly cost of 16,000," Lang said.
A commissioner moved to approve vouchers and wire payments presented for payment on Feb. 5; the motion carried with affirmative votes and the board directed staff to proceed with the disbursements.
