Marcy Wheatley, Grand County Treasurer, presented the semiannual report showing fund balances as of Dec. 31, 2024, and requested authorization to publish the report in the Bridal Park Times. "I have my semiannual treasurer's report that lists the balances of all the funds as of 12/31/2024. I would like your approval to have that published one time in the Bridal Park Times," Wheatley said. The board moved to publish the report as described and approved the motion.
Wheatley also summarized national economic context, noting the Federal Reserve's target rate near 4.25–4.5% and that county investment strategy includes purchasing Treasury notes and agency bonds (limited to maturities of five years). She reported foreclosure activity rose to 16 in 2024 and three foreclosures had opened so far in 2025, a trend she said staff will continue to monitor.
