Grand County approves vouchers, interfund transfers and Axon-conference travel

The Grand County Board of County Commissioners voted to approve vouchers, wire payments and interfund transfers covering county operations, the Department of Human Services and the Grand County Housing Authority after an accounting presentation on outstanding items.
"I'm Kathy Henderson from accounting. I'm here to present the vouchers, wire payments and interfund transfers," said Kathy Henderson, the county accountant, as she walked commissioners through the packet. Commissioner (speaker 3) moved to approve the vouchers for payment on 01/22/2025; the board then voted in favor.
The board also approved four out‑of‑state travel requests from the sheriff's office to send personnel to an annual Axon conference in Phoenix April 21–25. Wayne Shafer of the sheriff's office said the department sends staff annually to learn about equipment, new legislation and best practices. The motions were passed by voice vote.
