Town to mail 17,000 notices, hold public sessions and provide multilingual materials

"We have the mayor's newsletter, which reaches about 10,000 people," staff noted, but committee members stressed that the mailed notice is the only reliable way to reach every eligible household.
Members asked for translations and for in‑person workshops: Jean said staff planned one weeknight session, one Saturday event and one virtual meeting in September, and recommended neighborhood association outreach and signage at community hubs. The committee discussed postage options and whether to include prepaid envelopes; Catherine said prepaid return postage for all mailings would add about $11,000 and is not currently budgeted.
