Grandparent urges board to amend grandson's 504 plan after alleged threats and racial harassment

Roberts said she and her family have contacted school administration and central office staff but feel dismissed. "Ryan has threatened to assassinate my grandson more than once... Ryan has used racially charged words... especially my grandson, hearing these words directed towards him is quite unlawful," Roberts said, and asked the board to direct staff to examine the 504 plan, restraining orders, cyberbullying evidence and the district's response.
The president noted the board could not respond to legal matters during public comment but recorded the request and the need for staff follow‑up; Roberts asked for safety protections beyond the current plan and warned the family fears for the child's safety if placement leaves them unsupervised.
