Public commenters raise doubts about microgrid progress and point to county housing funds

Dylan Scholes spoke about county housing funding, saying a county sales tax has produced a savings account of about $6,000,000 to be allocated for housing affordability projects and suggesting local projects may be eligible. "They have a savings account of about 6,000,000... set aside for affordable or housing affordability," Scholes said.
Council members acknowledged the public comments and staff noted they would continue to assist community groups and site hosts where possible, while clarifying that implementation funding and Port intentions were matters outside the city's direct control.
