Commissioners approve joint-powers agreement with City of Lewisville for inspection services

Planning and Zoning staff (Milton) told the board that the county and the City of Lewisville have negotiated a joint powers agreement to provide building, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and electrical inspections; the agreement must be adopted by the city and accompanied by copies of city minutes for state documentation.
"I'll make a motion that we approve the Jefferson County and City Of Lewisville joint powers agreement for building mechanical HVAC, plumbing, and electrical inspection services," Milton said, after describing inspections coverage and steps required for state compliance. The board moved, seconded and called for roll call; the transcript indicates the JPA approval was processed at the meeting.
