Audit shows bump in General Fund revenue; district cites solar tax credit and shifting grant-funded positions

The year-ending June 30, 2025 audit showed General Fund revenue increased from $19,712,000 to $20,352,000, with auditors attributing part of that change to a solar project tax credit.
Auditor Seth D. Hennard told the Audit Committee that General Fund expenditures changed in composition: grant funding for positions ended, contributing to higher salary and employee-benefit lines; debt service decreased slightly from $212,000 to $206,000; BOCES services rose from $3,478,000 to $3,967,000; and Transportation and Other decreased from $3,564,000 to $3,247,000. The auditor emphasized these are reconciliation and presentation changes reflected in the audited financial statements.
