Auditor: "Good clean audit" for Barker Central School District; final report pending compliance supplement

Seth D. Hennard of Lumsden & McCormick told the Barker Central School District Audit Committee that the year-ending June 30, 2025 audit found no material weaknesses, significant matters, or findings. "Overall, he commented that it was a good clean audit," he said.
Mr. Hennard said the audit's finalization is awaiting the 2025 compliance supplement. He told the committee the supplement "will not change any of the figures in the report, only the footnotes." He also reported there were no difficulties encountered during the audit and no disagreements with management; all corrected and uncorrected misstatements were recorded.
The auditor described the engagement as low risk and noted there were no circumstances affecting the form and content of the auditors' report. Board President R. Atwater thanked the audit team, Mr. Carter, and administration for their work. District staff member J. Reimer said the finalized audit is expected to be provided to the Board next month once the compliance supplement is released.
