City accepts $16,619 WCIA grant and authorizes small‑works contract for walkway safety

Council moved to accept the WCIA grant, approve a budget amendment to recognize the revenue and authorize the mayor to sign a small‑works roster contract with Northern Asphalt to carry out repairs. The council approved the motion on roll call; staff said work and reimbursements would be processed on a receipts basis to ensure the work is completed before reimbursement. Public works noted the wetland/hydrostatic conditions at the site that complicate permanent repairs and said remaining areas might require future work or in‑house mitigation.
