The contract covers application preparation, planning and program administration for housing repairs for low‑ and moderate‑income homeowners in eligible areas.
County staff said two proposals were received and Kleinfelder ranked highest under the program's scoring sheet. Commissioner Jeff Riddell noted the administration contract is a sizable portion of the grant and observed that state procurement rules and program policy set administrative limits; the resolution explicitly caps Kleinfelder’s contract at $433,500.
The board authorized execution of the contract and directed the president or county administrator to sign necessary documents. Contract payments will be charged to CHIP Grant funds under the CDBG/HOME accounts specified in the resolution.
