During its May 8 meeting the Lorain County Board of Commissioners approved a series of financial measures including Resolution No. 26-276 authorizing a $131,525.55 appropriation to make advances for debt-service payments and related funding adjustments.
The board also adopted Resolution No. 26-277 authorizing advance transfers (examples: $93,828.67 and $37,696.88 advancing General Fund amounts into other funds for debt service and engineer payments), and Resolution No. 26-278 approving requisitions such as $15,288.44 for 2026 primary ballots and $14,926.55 for professional services to Job & Family Services. Resolution No. 26-279 approved travel for staff (example: a $1,367.59 conference trip) and Resolution No. 26-280 authorized payment of county bills across several accounts. Commissioner Marty Gallagher asked about one vendor item; KC Saunders clarified that “this is a quarterly payment and is an intergovernmental expense.” All listed resolutions passed on unanimous roll call votes (Ayes: Gallagher, Moore & Riddell).
