The Commission approved Special Use Permit SUP-26-08 to allow a golf cart showroom with accessory installation, customization and limited outdoor display at 2116 Buford Dam Road, Suite E. The applicant, Noah McClue, was present and the permit passed unanimously with conditions tied to the current owner and operational controls.
Conditions include: permit validity tied to the current owner (permit expires if the current use vacates the site); prohibition on outdoor accumulation of junk vehicles; all repair and customization activities must be performed inside with proper ventilation, noise control and waste management; all customer vehicle parking must be on asphalt or concrete in designated areas; and the city will allow "two (2) golf carts to be displayed outside during the day in designated parking spaces." The Commission recorded the approvals as motions moved and seconded during the public hearing portion of the meeting.
