Engineer: TIF amendment window, lift station equipment, GIS meeting and tower inspection noted

Engineer Gayle Lindenberg updated the board that the village has through Sept. 30, 2026 to make TIF changes retroactive to Jan. 1, 2026. Lindenberg said the TIF can be amended up to four times over its life; she identified Commerce Drive and 107 Main St. as possible additions and noted Christofferson/Zepnick as a possible removal. She emphasized that any TIF amendments require sending new information to affected taxing districts (school, NWTC and the county).
Lindenberg and staff also reported infrastructure items: mechanical equipment for a village lift station has been purchased and construction is expected to start in late 2026; a GIS meeting with Anna was scheduled for Jan. 29, 2026 to add more mapping information; Verizon has requested equipment upgrades to the water tower and staffer Josh will perform an inspection. The board recorded these updates for follow-up and coordination with other taxing jurisdictions.
