Jefferson County commissioners on July 20 approved a 24-month hardware maintenance agreement with Election Systems & Software, LLC for $11,200 to maintain county election equipment.
Cathy Dabell presented the agreement and noted the service would provide maintenance every two years. Chairman Hancock said the county's attorney had reviewed the contract. Commissioner Clark moved to approve the service agreement for 24 months at $11,200, Commissioner Young seconded, and the motion passed on a unanimous roll call.
The contract was described in the meeting as a routine maintenance service agreement; the minutes indicate the prosecutor had reviewed the document prior to the vote. The county will follow the contract's renewal and maintenance schedule per the agreement terms.
