Board recognizes staff and students for community donations and event support
Summary
The board commended staff and students for community fundraising and successful hosting of OHSAA events; Primary and Elementary buildings donated $2,419.50 to the Rainbow Connection and several students qualified for state wrestling.
The board offered commendations to staff and students for community service and event support. Mrs. Whipkey reported she and four students appeared on television March 8 to present donations totaling $2,419.50 from the Primary and Elementary buildings to the Rainbow Connection; the district noted Claymont had collected more than any other school in the program.
The board also recognized staff who supported OHSAA events held at the high school and wished good luck to State Wrestling Qualifiers Kam Stout, Dre’Vonn Searcy, Nile Abbuhl, Daniel McGarr, Laiken Warner and Kendall Boitnott. The recognitions were recorded in the minutes as commendations under the March 9 agenda.
