The Jasper CCSD 17 Board of Education voted July 17, 2025, to appoint Matt Shreve as superintendent for the 2025–2027 school years. The motion, made by Board President Josh Zurliene and seconded by Beth Titzer, passed by roll call with five yes votes, one no (Board member Beth Titzer) and one absence (Caitlin Glisson).
The board also approved two personnel actions during the meeting. On the consent motion the board employed Jaxon King as an individual aide at a rate of $15 per hour pending an EHR/background check. Separately, the board approved employing Board President Josh Zurliene as the baseball coach with a $1,000 stipend pending background clearance; Zurliene recorded an abstention on that vote. All personnel approvals were recorded by roll call.
