Board approves season coaching assignments, hires part-time cleaners and student placements
Summary
The Board approved spring coaching appointments, unpaid assistants and volunteers; it hired two part-time cleaners at $16/hour (effective Feb. 10, 2026, subject to fingerprint/background clearances) and approved student-teacher and observer placements.
The Board approved spring athletics appointments under the Barker Teachers’ Union agreement, including varsity and JV coaches for softball, baseball, track and tennis and several assistant and volunteer positions. The motion included both paid and unpaid assignments and was approved 5–0.
The Board also approved the appointment of Andrew Hofer and Catherine Cornwell as part-time cleaners at $16.00 per hour effective Feb. 10, 2026, "subject to fingerprint and background clearances." Student placements were approved for spring student teachers and observers from SUNY Brockport and other programs, and community/parent volunteers were approved pending documentation where required.
