At its Feb. 9 meeting the Barker Central School District Board adopted a bond resolution authorizing renovations, site and safety improvements and related acquisitions at a maximum estimated cost of $14,000,000 and authorizing issuance of up to $11,300,000 in serial bonds to finance the project. The resolution also authorized appropriating up to $2,700,000 from the District’s Capital Improvement Reserve Fund to offset project costs.
The bond resolution contains standard statements on period of probable usefulness and delegation of bond-sale and bond anticipation note authority to the Board president or vice president, and contemplates reimbursement of interim expenditures with bond proceeds. The resolution text notes State Environmental Quality Review Act compliance and references Education Law authorities.
