District reports gains in several grade levels on 3–8 state exams and local screening tests

Mr. Cornwell noted that grades 4, 5, 6 and 8 exceeded the NYS average in math and that Grade 5 and Grade 4 math results were the highest in more than seven years. He framed the assessments as part of a broader strategic plan and said the district will continue using data-driven instructional planning, vertical articulation and targeted professional development to build on gains.
