Board approves directed sale of county parcel to City of Sioux City

Assistant County Attorney Joshua Woodman described a directed sale to the City of Sioux City of a parcel commonly known as 400.143 Street in Sioux City and asked the board to open the public hearing. “As you reference, this is the public hearing and sale. It's a directed sale to the city of Sioux City,” Woodman said.
No members of the public spoke during the hearing; a motion to close the hearing was made and the board subsequently voted to sell the property to the City of Sioux City under terms consistent with a 2021 letter of understanding. The motion passed 5-0.
The sale was presented as related to property directly across the street from the former site of the LAC and the resolution to transfer the described parcels was approved during the meeting.
