The Lake Elmo City Council took the following formal actions during its meeting on Aug. 5, 2026:
- Approved meeting agenda (motion and second; voice vote). - Approved minutes of the July meeting (recorded vote: 3-0). - Approved the consent agenda, which included: approval of payments and disbursements; 180-acre AUAR renewal; deer hunt in Sunfish Lake Park; amendment to farm lease; Easton Village neighbors market special event permit; special event permit for the Lake Elmo Street Dance; pay request No. 2 for the 2025 seal coat project; acceptance of improvements and security reduction for MEP Lake Elmo LLC Milestones Daycare Center; and MPCA grant agreement for Cimarron Park water system connection.
- Adopted payroll and compensation policy change to include firefighter ESST, vacation and floating holiday hours as hours worked for overtime calculation (motion passed; clerk recorded 3-0). - Adopted Ordinance 2026-11 to amend the zoning code to add 'landscape supply' with performance standards. - Adopted Resolution 2026-055 approving a conditional use permit for NYP Landscape Supply at 9591 60th Street, subject to 12 conditions provided by staff. - Tabled Resolution 2026-056 (publication) until the next council meeting to allow for required publication and votes.
