Local officials say Cedar Grove Bridge reopening will ease truck damage, restore access and boost commerce

"This bridge stands as a symbol of what is possible when community refuses to give up and when people remain committed to moving forward together," Messiah said. She also criticized delays — the job was expected to take two years but spanned longer — and said she will advocate for faster delivery, greater accountability and clearer communication so future infrastructure projects avoid similar delays.
County officials said improved sidewalks, drainage and intersection work will support emergency response and local commerce while limiting disruptions during construction.
