Council unappoints Lake City Law; effort to appoint Vernon & Weeks fails, administration told to advertise

Councilmember Will Butler moved to appoint Vernon & Weeks and Council President Josephine Prophet seconded, but the motion failed on a 2 AYE, 4 NAY vote. Following the vote, the mayor tasked the Administration Committee with drafting a newspaper advertisement for the city attorney position and with reviewing applicable Idaho and city code requirements for publishing the advertisement.
