Separately, on the industrial safety-ordinance fee study staff presented, council gave staff direction (not a fee adoption) to return with a fee schedule that includes a 50% initial cost-recovery option, a one-year monitoring plan, separation of direct versus indirect costs, and consultant participation for follow-up Q&A. The city attorney will also review a late comment letter from Valero raising Proposition 26 concerns before final fees are proposed for adoption.
