Sesser-Valier board appoints Leigha Zimbro to recording secretary and treasurer posts; names special education rep

At the May 12, 2025 reorganizational meeting, the Sesser-Valier CUSD 196 Board appointed Leigha Zimbro as the recording secretary and, separately, as district treasurer. The motion to appoint Zimbro as recording secretary was made by Clark Lance and seconded by Leon Dilliner; the motion carried unanimously.
In a separate motion to appoint a district treasurer, Dena Kirk moved and Megan Rounds seconded the appointment of Leigha Zimbro. The minutes record a roll-call vote for the treasurer appointment: Yeas — Dilliner, Garner, Kelly, Kirk, Lance, Packer, Rounds; Nays — none. The board also, by motion from Kirk Packer seconded by Megan Rounds, appointed Clark Lance as the board representative to the Franklin-Jefferson Special Education District No. 801 Governing Board.
President Garner announced committee assignments for the coming year: the Board Policy Committee will include Leon Dilliner, Kristal Kelly, Megan Rounds and President Shane Garner; the Board Negotiations Committee will include President Garner, Dena Kirk, Clark Lance and Kirk Packer. All appointments were approved by unanimous vote.
