District advances HVAC Phase III planning and schedules main gym remodel for Summer 2026

Superintendent J. Henry told the board that after a pre-construction meeting with Lunsford Architects and Heartland Mechanical Contractors, Facilities Supervisor B. Gunter will walk Phase III of the district's HVAC project this week with Heartland's foreman to determine move-out and summer work sequencing. Henry described Phase III as involving different sections of the building and requiring planning for classroom furniture/supplies placement and clean-up scheduling.
Henry also said he has authorized Lunsford Architects to begin planning for a main gym remodel — including paint, floor and bleacher work — targeted for Summer 2026, and that feasibility studies for additional projects aligned with Board priorities will commence as soon as possible.
