HR Manager Monique Getz said the COLA aligns the two executives' pay with the FY25–26 employee compensation package approved earlier in the budget process. "The effective date of the 2% cost of living adjustment based salary increase for the city manager would be effective 11/22/2025," Getz said, summarizing the amendment that increases the city manager base salary from $285,000 to $290,700 and the assistant city manager from $243,500 to $248,370.
Council members praised both managers' service during the discussion and the two amendments passed unanimously. Staff noted the increases fall within the salary schedule adopted earlier and said no additional appropriation was required because the budget contained funding for the adjustments.
