Speed study finds speeding; Selectboard can now apply for radar/speed signs

The Selectboard reviewed two road‑safety and infrastructure items: a pending culvert replacement on Route 100 and a completed speed study that supports installing radar/speed signs.
Jim Linville provided an update on the culvert replacement project on Route 100 and said there was no new timing beyond an expectation of late next summer. Brian Gehlich said the town’s speed study "is completed and available if anyone would like a copy" and indicated the study supports intervention; the town can now begin the application process to obtain speed signs.
The board did not make a scheduling or procurement motion on the culvert at this meeting; staff and members will follow up on timing and permitting as the project advances.
