"The proposed program is as follows, a defined benefit plan with an entitlement age of 55 years old, a $20 monthly benefit and a 5 year prior service, retroactive ability," the chair said. The motion to move the resolution forward passed on a voice vote.
Council members emphasized the program will be placed before voters and that if approved the town would implement the benefit beginning in 2027.
