The Town of Weston Selectboard continued a complaint alleging a potential safety hazard and zoning violations at the Foster property. The board said the matter is being reviewed by the zoning administrator and, if necessary, the Development Review Board.
Will Goodwin told the Selectboard that "VTrans has confirmed that trucks may load and unload in the travel lane," and that, in VTrans’ view, the Foster business does not meet the state definition of a junkyard. Board members and neighbors noted the Fosters have altered where they load and unload and have removed some items from the property, which the board and community members appreciated.
No formal enforcement action was announced; the Selectboard emphasized the complaint will continue through the town’s established zoning review channels and the board may become involved later if those processes do not resolve the matter.
