Several residents used public comment to press the council on local traffic and pedestrian safety. Jeff McBride warned of persistent backups when turning left from Oso onto Felipe and urged changes to signal timing or geometric adjustments. He said promises of action six months earlier had not produced results and urged immediate fixes.
Kathy Palmer urged the council to make the La Paz and Marguerite intersection more pedestrian friendly after a recent accident, recommending flashing lights or other measures to improve driver awareness of pedestrians and schoolchildren. Mayor Bucknam acknowledged the concerns and asked staff to look into intersection improvements.
