Board of Education Chair Patric Lewandowski convened the Aug. 18, 2025 meeting of Independent School District No. 51 (Foley Public School District) at 5:30 p.m. The board unanimously approved an amended agenda that added a Discussion/Action item for additional kindergarten and third‑grade teachers.
Board member Pamela Vizenor moved to "approve the adoption of the amended agenda, including the tabletop consent agenda items and the added Discussion/Action for additional kindergarten and 3rd grade teachers," a motion seconded by Wayne Wilson and carried 6‑0. Separately, the board approved the July 21, 2025 meeting minutes, board bills and the consent agenda on a motion by Wayne Wilson, seconded by Nathan Anderson; that motion also passed 6‑0.
The consent agenda included several personnel items: Jodi Gatewood resigned as FIS dean of students effective Aug. 18, 2025; Becky Caple‑Kutz resigned as a cook effective July 31, 2025 to accept a Cook Management position; Raelin Stocker resigned from her Foley Elementary School kindergarten teaching position effective Aug. 4, 2025; and Ruthann Kedrowski retired from her child nutrition role (effective date not specified in the minutes). These items were recorded as part of the approved consent agenda.
