Staff provided a series of development updates during the meeting. On Wholesome Choice, staff said a new roof permit has been pulled and some equipment appears on site but tenant-improvement permits have not yet been filed; staff described activity as inconsistent and said the city is not the cause of any permit delay. The hospital project was described as a multi-year, 5–6 year phased effort; staff said "Tower 3 is expected to commence construction in spring of this year." Costco Gas is in demolition with construction slated for spring and an anticipated public opening by summer.
Staff also told commissioners that Lucid has applied to occupy the vacant Infiniti space and submitted minor modification and signage requests; staff said they will bring a special sign-permit package for additional freeway-oriented signage. A previously approved medical office building on Center Drive has submitted for building permits and a mall expansion project is actively being demoed and readied with utilities and pads.
