Hague wins $150,000 county occupancy grant; hires Studio A for pavilion design

The Hague Town Board announced a $150,000 occupancy-tax award from the Warren County Board of Supervisors to support an event pavilion in the town park and voted to accept a $22,500 contract with Studio A (landscape architecture and engineering) for design services.
Consultant Jeff Anthony, landscape architect for Studio A, said the firm will produce alternatives, cost estimates and public presentations and will prepare bid documents and construction-observation services if the project proceeds. He emphasized the consultants will "look at different locations in the park" and evaluate visual, environmental and noise impacts so the facility "fits right in the park." Two public sessions will be scheduled to seek community input before the design is finalized; consultants projected the design work to be advanced by late summer.
The board authorized use of the occupancy-tax award to establish a Parks Master Plan Implementation/Event Pavilion code function. The contract award for design services was approved by voice vote; board members emphasized community involvement in committee formation and public meetings to shape the facility and its siting.
