The board approved an amended agreement between Shelby County Ambulance Service and Myrtue Memorial Hospital; Supervisor Bryce Schaben moved and Supervisor Mike Kolbe seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. In a related action the board authorized Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Management Agency staff to apply for a Federal Employer Identification Number to support operations.
EMA Coordinator Alex Londo provided a departmental update and relayed a recommendation from the Emergency Services Advisory to amend the Fire Billing Ordinance to increase billing amounts. The board heard the recommendation but did not adopt ordinance changes at the March 17 meeting; any ordinance amendment would require a future notice and board action.
