Volunteers say surprise dissolution of Greenway Committee raises transparency concerns

Resident Theresa Craft and several council members echoed the call for better communication. Council discussion focused on offering the Greenway Committee a chance to present a final report and on formalizing a handoff to the new trails committee. Mayor/Chair said he expected to see many of the same volunteers continue and invited a presentation to provide closure and preserve the committee's record. The council did not take formal action on the committee's status during the meeting but directed staff to schedule a presentation and suggested the new trails committee would have broader scope and more formal coordination with city staff.
